I have enjoyed using it and it has not been that difficult to clean. I also like that fact that it comes with several trays so that I have plenty of cooking space. A must have item!

This set of Rada knives is made in Iowa, and has a knife or tool for almost any task the ordinary cook will face. It feels a little light in the hand at first because the handle is aluminum but the balance is right on. The handle also has a "brushed" finish which helps with the grip
I would definitely recommend this set, and also the "steel wheels" sharpener, which really simplifies a task I've always had difficulty with.
It is shipped in a box that is nice for gift giving and storage.

Kuhn Rikon Easy-Squeeze Garlic Press Review

(More customer reviews)I owe the Kuhn Epicurean all-stainless garlic press and love it. My mother was visiting recently and was impressed with it, but found it a bit hard to squeeze and thought it was better suited to a larger hand. My 12-year old daughter, who likes to cook, made the same remark.
I wanted to give my mother a garlic press, and thus, this "Easy-Squeeze" unit seemed ideal. However, we found it no easier to squeeze than the Epicurean. Furthermore, the red handles are plastic and not as brightly colored or shiny as the online image suggests. The press has a flimsy or squishly feeling relative to the Epicurean. As we're squeezing, you can feel the handles bend, as well as wobble slightly side-to-side.
It still presses garlic beautifully. The actual pressing mechanism and screen are made of the same high-quality stainless steel as in the Epicurean. It is just as easy to clean.
For the price ($19.95 vs. $39.95), this easy-squeeze unit may be a good deal, but we much prefer the heft and solid feeling of the Epicurean. We feel like the Epicurean will last a lifetime and don't mind spending the extra money. However, with the easy-squeeze, the question for me is not IF it will fail, but WHEN?
We've only used it one day, so maybe I'm worrying about something that will never happen. However, I intend to return this press and give my mother the Epicurean instead.

Knife and price would be ideal if the blade were longer. The entire knife is just too small for my hands.

All-American 15-1/2-Quart Pressure Cooker/Canner Review

(More customer reviews)When I first ordered this canner, I wasn't sure if I would be able to maintain a steady pressure with my "pulsating" flat-top stove. With the thick aluminum walls, I have no problems at all. In fact, with such thick walls, I can put the burner on "high" and it will slowly build up pressure so I don't have to stand over the stove and constantly monitor as the pressure increases. Once at pressure, it is very easy to maintain the required pressure without having to constantly vent off excess pressure. The owner's manual recommends one to four jiggles per minute. It takes longer for this canner to cool down than others due to the thick walls. I factor this in to my processing time. It will maintain it's pressure (15 psi) for almost another 10 minutes with the burner off. This canner is designed to fit 7 quart jars perfectly. If your looking for a canner, this is it!

Love them all, except: Just be aware that (now that I've had them for several months) the handles are brushed aluminum which gives a good offsetting weight in the hand, however, the shiny silver color turns dingey gray. If you don't mind that-especially bec now they don't match the silver color of the blade, then they are a great buy. I would give 5 stars if they didn't discolor. NOTE: I NEVER ONCE PUT THEM IN THE DISHWASHER.

I saw a similar brush in a dollar store for a considerable savings. After two uses the metal bristles have started to fall out and make a mess on the grill. I only bought it so I could get free shipping on my other items. I would not recommend this item, nor would I purchase it again.

(More customer reviews)I've had these a few days and have used them extensively. I plan on updating this review as I continue to use them for weeks and months.
I really enjoy the shape of the blade, and the steel handle is the perfect shape for dicing vegetables, etc. Some may consider the handle a little short, but it's just right for me.
They wash fine in the dishwasher though it recommends "hand washing for fine cutting instruments"... They said made in the USA, though I do not know if that is a good thing or a bad thing for a knife... we tend to think Japan, right?
The packaging is very basic white with no branding or lettering. Considering the exceptional value here, that was OK for me, and thus I consider them a great deal for basic kitchen vegetable chopping and the like. I will update on sharpness as I've used them enough.

It has an acrylic rim around the metal blade which attaches it to the rubber handle. The plastic broke after only zesting two lemons. I think it has a poor design. The blade is great and until it broke, it did zest the first lemon in about one minute! So I will purchase the all metal Microplane insteadMicroplane Grater/Zester.

(More customer reviews)I started buying Rada cutlery at one of the big Home & Garden Shows because I was tired of cheap knives and of peelers that just didn't work. This knife is simply the best for the price - you don't need to spend a fortune on the German brands - this U.S. made knife is every bit as good at a fraction of the price. It is fantastic for doing apples and other fruits.
The knife stays extremely sharp - I've nicked myself a number of times when I got too close to what I was cutting. You can keep the blade super sharp by using the Rada sharpner, so there's no need to replace this knife ever.
The only drawback, if you are into appearances, is that the handle will discolor if it is not dried after washing or if you allow it to sit in water. Also, these knives should not be put in the dishwasher if you care about appearance - the handle will get darkened and somewhat pitted.
