(More customer reviews)These peas have grown well in my garden. So far we've gotten a couple of handfuls of peas off our plants (I think I have ten or twelve plants growing), with more coming. They aren't super producers, but are doing well. I had a hard time getting the dried peas to germinate in the ground--almost all the plants I tried planting that way didn't come up (even after soaking). But those that I let germinate inside a plastic bag on a wet paper towel (and then planted), have grown just fine. I also planted some in plastic cups and let them start growing indoors and then transplanted them, and those worked just fine too. I would buy these again, and will keep the rest to use in future gardens.

A vegetable to grow especially if you have children about your garden. Plant the seed directly in the soil and provide support and watch the tendrils grap the trellis.

We have used plastic-bowl microwave vessels, aluminum & teflon pots, steam pressure cookers and several others over the past five plus decades. They all work, but each has a down side. For instance wait till your visitors or grand kids hear the hissing monster of a pressure cooker.

We feared aluminum toxicity, teflon ingestion, plastic leaching and plain uncertainty of what new epidemiologic research will unleash on us tomorrow. My wife and I have conveniently labeled our failing intellects as chronic "rice-in" toxicity. Forget age, it must be all that peeling cooking pot and rice!
The stainless steel Miracle is a reasonable answer, unless we find out in some distant future that stainless steel is also a hazard. Probably not. This cooker performs well and passes muster readily with us. We have not noted any spills or crusty rice paste sticking to the bottom. We do have the advantage of having cooked rice and grains for many years. But this is an easy skill to acquire if you learn to vary the amount of water used to suit the type of rice or grain. Don't lose heart too soon.
The pot washes easily if you soak it in water for a few hours -- and better still leave it overnight for your spouse to take care of tomorrow!
A vege tray comes with the cooker. It steams beans, peas and carrots well and to a ready-to-eat tender state.
I agree that a price of some $50.00 would have been better, but the convenience and safety are worth the added whimper while you pay the price. You could shop around and may be able to find a slightly lower price. And don't blow the savings on pricey coffee.

(More customer reviews)Hard to tell how something is made and works by seeing a small photo. I wanted something to grill small items like cut vegetables where I could close the grill top for more even cooking and smoke flavor and flip everything at once. Well, there seems to be 2 major problems. First, the wires do not form a tight grid for keeping smaller pieces from falling through, although that is what it looks like in the photo. Instead, they are pretty far apart (about 3/8 to 1/2 inch) and parallel--they only have 2 wires running crosswise at 90 degrees on each side. The grid look in the photo comes from the wires on the top and bottom running at 90 degrees to each other. SO LOTS OF STUFF FALLS THROUGH. Second, the handle requires a good grip and is in bad need of a locking device so you don't have to maintain the heavy grip on the basket when you flip and move it.
This said, the basket would probably be good for hardy cuts of fish and thick burgers--(thin delicate fish might have an issue being flipped with the thickness (interior height) of the basket). For cut veggies, it is pretty useless. Forget asparagus, cut peppers, cut onions, etc.
I returned it.

I would not recommend if you have a very small dog as this toy may be too big. Depending on how much your dog likes to tear things up, the toy will last for a good amount of time. Though I followed all the instructions mentioned on the envelope - out of the whole pocket of seeds - ONLY ONE - germinated!All other seeds just didnt germinate. I have the feeling that the seeds are past their germination period. Must be dead seeds. Unless you want to risk your hard earned money, i would suggest you to try some other company or better buy the plants. For the money you pay for one pocket of seeds past their prime, you may get definetly more than one live plant.

(More customer reviews)I have used many differnt brands and styles of mandolines and this is by far my favorite. I use it most often for making scalloped potatoes (until I got this one, my husband called them bloody scalloped potatoes) and it is just great. I like the fact that the blade isn't exposed until you pull on the handle and I like that the blades are fixed (less chance of cuts). I generally just use the thinnest settings, but it does have a little button you slide to change the settings for thicker slices. It is also nice to be able to see through the mandoline to what you are slicing into the bowl ( the runway area is see through). I did notice if you slice onto a plate rather than a bowl, the vegetables can get stuck in the slicer as the veggies build up. Less chance of this when using a deeper bowl.

It's sturdy, versatile (going from microwave to dishwasher), and neutral so that I can mix and match with my other table settings. The round vegetable bowl is heavy and resistant to chipping. It's approximately 10-1/2" wide from side to side, the rim itself 1-1/2", and the bowl about 3" deep. I primarily use it to serve veggies but recently I served a tossed salad in it to serve 3 people and it worked well.

Note that this spoon's photo shoes perforation but in fact it is a solid spoon. The spoon is also quite large, larger than that of WMF and Rosle's.

However, I have to say, that even for a one-person household I find it a bit too small.Even an onion has to be chopped in halves, the whole onion would be too much for it. If I was to buy a new one I'd go for a bigger one.
