(More customer reviews)Each time you push down the zigzag cutter blades chop and then rotate as they come up so that the food item is chopped smaller with each downward stroke. Clever. The devise looks good and is made reasonable strong but here are the drawbacks: The container is quite small. It won't handle half of an average onion for example. Though the plunger is spring loaded, the blade stick in the onion, so you must pull it up for the next stroke. So, this is not the ultimate chopper.
