(More customer reviews)My mother-in-law turned me on to this little piece of kitchen equipment back in the 80's and I don't know what I'd do without it. I don't own a food processor so I use it for all sorts of things:
-Chopping strawberries for my freezer jam
-Chopping nuts
-Chopping cooked spinach for dip etc (so you don't get those big icky pieces)
-Chopping tomatoes, peppers & onion for salsa
-Chopping hard boiled eggs, cooked chicken, etc. for sandwich spreads
-I dry stale bread in the oven and then pulverize it in a bowl with the chopper - I always have a coffee can full of bread crumbs for casseroles, meatloaf, etc. (sometimes I season them, sometimes I don't).
-I've even used it as a cookie cutter!
You'd be amazed at the things you can do with it, it's a breeze to clean, you can't cut yourself wide open with it like a knife (so you can let the kids help with the chopping!) and after 25 years the thing is still working like new. I bought these because I wanted to give one to each of my daughters.
One of the cheapest things in my kitchen, yet one of the things I value most...
