Food slices drop into an attached container for immediate use, or for storage. Very sharp blade (caution!), simple clean-up under tap, or dishwasher. Cut food to size to fit slicing table; no need to use the hand guard until the food nears the blade. Move food back and forth across the two-sided blade. Hand guard snaps in place serving as a blade protector when slicer is not in use. I researched numerous slicers before choosing this one. Shipping was prompt, and USPS tracking was provided. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
