The Contender is one of the earliest bean producing varieties, taking only 40 days from sowing to bean production. This delicious, stringless variety is good for fresh eating or cooking. The pods grow up to 6 inches long! This plant is heat tolerant and mildew resistant. As will all beans, it is best to replace your seeds each year as they don't hold over well.
