(More customer reviews)This is a stacked steamer made of bright blue silicone. The bottom is a floppy, flexible blue square thingie that bends and folds under the weight of hot liquid. The top two trays have steamer holes in them, and are flimsier than the bottom tray, and do not fit on top of it with any stability at all. The lid is ... a lid.
The food did cook in it, but not well or evenly. My comparison purchase is the Tupperwave three-layer cooker, which I love. I just wish it also came in a smaller size.
This item is just a silly waste of space and blue pigment.Not recommended.

(More customer reviews)I have owned one of these for the past 15 years and it's still strong. The handle is convent if your a soup lover as you can eat straight out of the cooker. I have cooked ramen, steamed vegetables, made sauce, I even use this with ravioli and it works beautifully each time. The cover works like a steamer so your soups actually cook/reheat faster, the holes are also a nice strainer. It's easy to clean and convenient if you have kids because it's extremely easy to use and the plastic doesn't get really hot so it's easy to use for making themselves lunch or an afternoon snack. The best thing is the cover stops the microwave from being cover in stuff if the stuff start boiling. You can find some great recipes for this on the website .

(More customer reviews)I got two of these when buying onions last year. I gave my sister one and realized I needed another so I found them here. Two minutes each in microwave and you have cooked onions to add to steak or pork chops. Not as good tasting as fried but good enough to save the added grease and time cooking. I use most when onions are too sharp and need to be sweetened.

(More customer reviews)This is the third one of these that I have purchased. The first one we ruined by accidentally setting it on a hot burner on the stove. The second one I wore out, and the water started seeping out of a hairline fracture (after almost daily use for four years). When this happened, I instantly ordered a new one because I am so reliant upon the steamer.
The only negative comment that I have is that this product has become extremely expensive for what it is...3 pieces of plastic!

Wash the veggies, sprinkle seasonings over them and place in the microwave for a couple minutes. Let steam til desired tenderness (approx 3 minutes for me) and then serve. Fabulous every time. Easy to clean.
Also, this is great for making rice. Recommend to eveyone.

(More customer reviews)I found that the Jobar steamer does a great job in steaming vegetables. I used it right away and made some great broccoli and carrots, vegetables were steamed and crisp and full of flavor.
I find that the size is good for large and small microwaves. Likewise, I loved that you can unstack it to a smaller size for storage.

(More customer reviews)First I tried Salmon and asparagus and it came out nasty and dried out. But that is because I followed the directions. You almost have to experiment with lower power setting on your microwave. That's when this product proves it's greatness. The second time I tried Talapia at 4 and 1/2 minutes on power level 4. The steam cooks it fast, so you can now use this thing at the normal microwave temperature. Once you experiment and get the time and temp right, this thing can be great. The talipia came out moist and tasty, due to seasoning it.

You MUST follow Nordic Wares instructions for cooking rice. Using any other recipes/directions, will result in your rice being soggy & the water not absorbing. The one noticible difference between the other cookers I tried and this one is that I didn't have to clean my microwave after using this rice cooker. NO SPILLS & OVERFLOWS! I just ordered a second cooker to place in storage just in case this model is discontinued. GREAT PRODUCT AT A GREAT PRICE!
