I used the skewers and they performed well-meat and vegetables would not spin when turning the skewers over for reverse side browning due to the flat shape of skewer. A round skewer would have had problems.

(More customer reviews)These look cute online but they are very wide and difficult to skewer into things. The ends are dull and they look pretty cheap with metal remainders on them around most of the seams. All of that wouldn't be so bad if they did not rust the first time I washed them (I didn't even let them soak or anything strange, soap and water and drip dried in my dry rack). Do not get these, they are cheap and difficult to use. If you saw them in person, you would walk away, even at Amazons price.

(More customer reviews)Ever have trouble with scallops playing ring-a-round-the-rosie when you have them skewered and on the grill. You most certainly don't have to worry about that with these babies. We bought two sets to make sure we have enough when we have our friends over. Only drawback I think is the wood handles. Granted the wood is small it's still a bit worry some when on the grill. We soak the handles for good measure. The metal tongs are the perfect length and are securly mounted to the handles. No worry there. Never have your food try to fight with you again on the grill with these. We love them.

(More customer reviews)These skewers are flat, non-stick, and have a sharp point on the end for piercing the food. Because they are flat, foods don't roll around on the skewer. The non-stick coating makes it easy to remove the cooked food, and cleanup is easy. These fit nicely laying flat in the dishwasher, and I don't have to scrub food residue off of them. Compared to my last set of stainless skewers, these are a great step up.

(More customer reviews)I requested and received this as a Christmas gift. I used it yesterday in the BBQ to hold marinated pieces of beef and lamb. They did a good job of holding the meat in place so that it would not spin when I flipped the meat. I used metal thongs to grab the handles to flip the meat, thus the fact that the handles are much too hot to handle was not a problem. The only problem occurred when I was using a fork to pull the meat off the skewers. One skewer pulled out of the handle. I pushed the skewer back into the handle.

The 10-inch size was a must-buy for me as they fit a container I have for tailgating and the 'regular' 12 inch skewers do not, so I am very happy to get this quantity and at this price, plus it was Amazon Prime eligible, always a bonus.
