(More customer reviews)We have the orange, lemon, and lime squeezers. Ease of squeeze diminishes as size increases and fruit becomes firmer. An older, drier orange would be almost impossible for Hulk Hogan to get a drop out of. A small, juicy lime would be a whiz for an arthritic grandma.
Our objections are, the enamel peels off where the juice contacts it most strongly and repeatedly, so that bits of paint fall in your food preparations; the acid in the juice attacks the bare aluminum and causes pitting; waxy coatings from the fruit which build up on the inside surfaces of the juicers attract dirt and mildew and are virtually impossible to remove; and finally, the pin that holds the pieces together is steel and rusts.
Although these juicers get the juice out, we're now looking for an all stainless steel model with long enough handles so it doesn't take a lot of strength to juice a lemon, and doesn't shed paint and collect crud that can't be removed.

Pampered Chef Micro Cooker Small Review

(More customer reviews)I have owned one of these for the past 15 years and it's still strong. The handle is convent if your a soup lover as you can eat straight out of the cooker. I have cooked ramen, steamed vegetables, made sauce, I even use this with ravioli and it works beautifully each time. The cover works like a steamer so your soups actually cook/reheat faster, the holes are also a nice strainer. It's easy to clean and convenient if you have kids because it's extremely easy to use and the plastic doesn't get really hot so it's easy to use for making themselves lunch or an afternoon snack. The best thing is the cover stops the microwave from being cover in stuff if the stuff start boiling. You can find some great recipes for this on the website .

(More customer reviews)Works like a champ to core Zucchini's, its nice the whole thing is stainless, once its covered in Zucchini insides you can give it a quick rinse and off you go. Its also a very good length for most Zucchinis.
The worse I can say is it might be too sharp, you have to be careful with it as lest you want to poke a hole out the back.
If you make stuffed Zucchinis this is a nice tool to have.

(More customer reviews)Oxo products are routinely superior, and the new strawberry huller is no exception. My family often goes through strawberries in bulk, so for us this tool is long overdue.
Many people have a lazy way of preparing strawberries that never tastes right - i.e., they just rip the stem off quickly, or at best they'll make a quick cut at the white part. But my mother's way tastes far better - make a circular incision into each 'berry, making sure the white is mostly gone, leaving only the flavorful part. Up until now, all the hullers in stores have been cheap, flimsy, and awkward - kind of a joke. But OXO finally figured out how to make a one-size-fits-all contraption for the strawberry that works perfectly every time (except when the 'berry is exceptionally small). One quick, unskilled swipe (push in, turn, pull the tool out sideways), and you can move on. For most sizes, you can even get the hull out without the extra step of pulling the leaves off (just rinse them afterward to loosen any that got stuck).
So this makes the job quick and easy, helping you get to the best of the fruit in the best way, with significantly less effort.
Another thing to consider - it also eliminates the danger of slicing into your fingers from holding a knife in an awkward position. So... if you prepare a lot of strawberries, or aren't very skilled at hulling, or have arthritis, or have kids who want to help out, then this is a good investment.

J.A. Henckels International Classic 2-1/2-Inch peeler Review

(More customer reviews)This is from Henckels' mid range line, and the finish on this knife, both metal and the handle, definitely does not compare to the Twin Pro-S knives. Of course, this knife is priced less than half of the Twin Pro-S peeler also.
Knives are one of those purchases, you often get what you pay for. I usually save up for the most expensive knives that I can afford, but for a specialty knife like this, it made sense for me to spend less since it's not something I would use every day. This knife has forged blade, is sharp, and fits my hand rather well, so it has a quality level definitely above the cheap $10 knives. For $20 or so, I think this is a better buy over cheap junks and $50+ high end knives.
Finally, for those who are wondering if a curved blade knife like this a worthwhile purchase at all, I have to say... maybe. If you don't have a quality pairing knife yet, get that instead of this. If you already have a quality pairer, well it's a nice knife to have though hardly a essential one. I like it for peeling fruits, and it's good for scraping thin skins off things like ginger. Still, I probably won't rush out to get a replacement if I were to break or misplace this knife.
